THREE DESIRES (04.06.2004)

After the three first visits to 72-nd children’s home of Rybinsk we satisfied some base needs of children, and I had a desire to make something special, that could be remembered by children for a long time. In a result the idea of execution of desires was born. Technically it looked as follows. Each child should write the letter for my name on Post service "poste restante" (it that letters were not lost). In the letter it was necessary to give the necessary information about yourself: name, birthday, ¹ of your group, to tell about yourself, your life, the interests, the hobby, study, friends, dreams and so forth. At the end of the letter it was necessary to list three desires. I promised to execute one of them. Certainly, I have explained to children, that desires should be feasible, approximately having outlined limits of opportunities of magic.

Why it was necessary to think of three if only one was carried out? It is very simple. The space for maneuver is necessary. If we have three points - we can choose. And to have an opportunity of a choice -is extremely necessary, even on the following reasons. First, it is possible to group the same desires and therefore, to buy not at retail, and by the gross that reduces the cost price of the action in 2-3 times. Second, it allows to avoid equality. For those who worked more, tried more, it is possible to execute most wanted. Outsiders can execute something more simple, less "capital-intensive". Thirdly, what you will do, if all 80 children will ask only bicycles? And what the director of a children’s home do with 80 bicycles if you suddenly will manage to buy and deliver them?
